Holley Church

Holley Church is a healthy, growing church. We are currently averaging around 250 (not counting anyone more than once) in our three Sunday services. We have just finished the first phase of a building expansion with plans for two more. The church is well-known and very active in the community. We believe in going “BIG” to show

God’s Kindness to those not yet a part of our church family. Our church family is comprised of every age group.


Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will be younger man with a strong calling to Holley Church and a desire to have a long ministry with the church. High energy, high drive to succeed are a definite plus. Loyalty to Jesus – loyalty to the Senior Pastor and other staff – loyalty to Holley Church and a man of high character are absolutely necessary. Must be familiar with and agree with Holley Church’s doctrinal beliefs which are consistent with the Bible and the Christian Church movement. movement. Must be willing to work hard to share the story of Jesus and help people enter God's Kingdom through faith in Jesus. Must value Jesus, people, fun, and generosity. Must be able to follow directions. Compensation

$55,000 to $62,000 range depending on experience

3 weeks paid vacation annually

Holley Church Associate Pastor:

Holley Church is currently taking applications for an Associate Pastor who has the potential to transition into the Lead Pastor role.


We are looking for someone who will work hard to share the story of Jesus. Our church is very invested in impacting our local community. We have a passion for Jesus and a passion for people.

Associate Pastor Expectation List:

1. Do what’s best for the mission of Holley Church at all times.

2. Love being a part of and serving in multiple worship services.

3. Do your best at all times.

4. Represent the church well.

5. Be early to all meetings, services, or anything that is on your schedule.

6. Complete the tasks assigned to you on time.

7. Have a positive, worshipful, “whatever it takes” attitude.

8. Be organized, efficient, committed to time maximization, and able to manage your list of responsibilities.

9. Work while you are at work (be focused, not working on personal tasks, personal emails, personal texts, etc.).

10. Set specific goals which are easily measured on a weekly basis.

11. Add value to every task you work on, every meeting you attend and every request made of you.

12. Be coachable and able to coach others. Attend and participate in Oregon Pastor’s Coaching Network.

13. Be able to follow the vision of the Senior Pastor, as well as, lead others to fulfill the vision God has given him for Holley Church.

14. Take responsibility for the volunteers of the Connect Group Ministry and Front of House Ministry, or Worship Team and Youth (your specific responsibilities will be assigned along the lines of your experience and strengths). Whatever specific ministries you are assigned you will take responsibility for them by:

a. Scheduling volunteers in a way that helps them succeed in their area of service

b. Responding quickly to volunteer communications, questions and concerns

c. Providing advance notice of serving opportunities

d. Following up with volunteers

e. Following up within three days with any new volunteers

15. Take ownership of your areas of ministry responsibility.

16. Perform any general office tasks with the same passion and commitment as your specific ministry tasks. This includes running errands and performing tasks in areas outside of your normal areas of ministry responsibility.

17. Other tasks as assigned.

18. Manage your money well.

19. Over communicate with the Senior Pastor.

20. Plan ahead with the Senior Pastor.

21. Answer all texts and phone calls from the Senior Pastor in a timely manner (immediately if at all possible).

22. Be willing to play second chair until you transition into the lead role.

23. Be loyal to the Senior Pastor and the vision God has given him for Holley Church.

24. Have a heart and passion for people to be committed to God.

25. Have a passion for life transformation personally and for others.

26. Assist Senior Pastor in any way he may ask.

27. Complete the tasks the Senior Pastor assigns you by deadline.

28. You are expected to be at all major church events – fun groups – service projects – any opportunity the church provides for you to connect with people!

29. Participate in a Connect Group three semesters each year and potentially Shepherd a Connect Group two semesters each year.

30. Preach on a regular basis. To be determined with the Senior Pastor.

31. Develop a vision for Holley Church as you transition into the Senior Pastor role.

32. Participate in pastoral calls and care.

33. Perform weddings, and funerals as needed.

34. Help plan worship services.

35. Take responsibility for the excellence and development of all aspects of your areas of ministry.

36. Staff development (reading assigned books – participating in coaching).
