About Our Church 
Dufur Christian Church is a relational, community-focused family of believers in the heart of North Central Oregon. We serve as a spiritual anchor in a tight-knit farming town of about 600 people. We aren’t just a weekend destination; we are a spiritual family committed to practical Biblical teaching and living as the "front porch" of our community—a place where everyone feels welcome and supported.
 
Position Description 
We are looking for a relational, self-starting intern to help us reach families in our beautiful wheat-country community. This summer, our focus is Family and Fellowship. We need a leader who is passionate about building a healthy church family and is ready to experience the unique rewards of rural ministry.
 
Primary Responsibilities 
Event Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of our Spring and Summer family outreach events (park days, BBQs, community gatherings).
 
Family Outreach: Build intentional relationships with local families and find creative ways to connect the church to the town.
 
Children’s Ministry: Bolster our Sunday morning and midweek kids' programming with fresh energy and organization.
 
Music & Worship (Optional): If you have a musical background, there are opportunities to lead or assist our worship team.
 
What Dufur is Like 
Located just south of the Columbia River Gorge with stunning views of Mt. Hood, Dufur is a place where relationships are everything. Ministry here happens at the local school, the coffee shop, and the Vintage Days festival. It’s the perfect place for an intern who wants to see the direct fruit of their labor in a small-town setting.

Type: Paid Summer Internship.
 
Housing: A local host family will provide housing and meals.
 
Mentorship: You will work directly with Pastor Tim Fain to grow your leadership, administrative skills, and pastoral heart.
