Adrian Community Church is an independent, Bible believing church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our mission is “TO LIVE BY FAITH, TO BE KNOWN BY LOVE, AND TO BE A VOICE OF HOPE”.

We are a small, established congregation with an average attendance of a little over 50. We are open to making changes to more effectively carry out the mission of the church, to reach the lost, and to grow the body of Christ in our community.

Adrian Community Church is in Adrian, Oregon, a small community located along the Snake River on the western edge of the Treasure Valley area of Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho. We are a rural, agricultural based community, whose primary industries are farming and ranching. The school is the center of the community, and the community generously supports the school activities. The Adrian Schools provide a strong K-12 educational program and a broad variety of extra-curricular activities.

Adrian Community Church is one of 2 Christian churches in the community and is the only church located in the city limits. We are a church that is strongly involved in community outreach. We currently support 6 missions.

Adrian has a Young Life Club that we are very supportive of with several of the leaders attending our church. The program has reached approximately 60 students with average attendance of 25-30. We also have a strong Kids Klub program reaching around 25 students and a Children’s Church on Sunday mornings with 20 – 25 children.

Adrian Community Church is seeking an individual to serve as full-time Pastor. Our Pastor is part of the Elders Board that currently consists of 5 members including the pastor.

Personal Qualities: The individual will need to exhibit the qualities of personal behavior fitting a Pastor found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 5:1-4; be devoted to prayer; be community minded; have the maturity to relate appropriately to people of all ages and stages of life; have the ability to work well with others; have a willingness to work as a team with the Board of Elders, the Board of Deacons, and church volunteers; and invests time in their personal relationship with God and their own family.

Duties: The Pastor will prepare and deliver Bible-based, engaging sermons that relate to a multi-generational audience; will develop personal relationships within the community and actively share in the church’s vision to reach the community for Christ; and will guide and equip the congregation for work in small groups and discipleship.

Professional Preparation: The successful candidate will have obtained, or be working toward, a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry, Biblical Studies, or other Ministry related field.

Compensation: Adrian Community Church will provide a compensation package of $70,000-$75,000 that includes housing, all utilities, reimbursement for mileage and contribution to Roth IRA to be negotiated. If the successful candidate is a current student, a scholarship may be available.

Start Date: Adrian Community Church is flexible on the start date for the position.
